The "Dyrrah City Football Academy" Foundation, established by the Ministry of Education and Sports, has as its main purpose the development and promotion of football for young people. Our objective is to establish and manage the Football Academy in the city of Durrës. Dyrrah City Football Academy will build the largest and most modern training centre in the country and beyond. Our vision is not only to promote new talent, but also to inspire values through the beautiful game of football.
Our football project aims to create a model for developing football in Albania. With a new approach to training and the support of the Albanian government, we have a clear vision for building football infrastructure and organizing major sporting events to raise the level of Albanian football both domestically and on the international stage. This centre of excellence will serve to improve the development of Albanian footballers by raising their quality and value. Achieving this goal requires two main pillars: a proven, effective programme for developing talent, and modern infrastructure built to international standards. The Foundation has already secured an agreement with Manchester City and City Football Group to develop their Football School programme and to provide consultancy on building infrastructure and an academy structure to high international standards.
The Foundation has announced the competitive procedure for the project "Construction of the Durrës Football Academy Complex", where the Manchester City Football Academy programme will be run. For this, the Foundation has notified all clubs in the Abissnet Superliga to submit their proposals for carrying out the project based on the detailed guidelines in an Invitation for Proposals.
The project includes financing all the works and services related to carrying out the "Construction of the Durrës Football Academy Complex". This includes design, construction, supervision of works, commissioning, the certificate of use, registration, payment of taxes and fees, supporting infrastructure, obtaining all permits and other approvals, and maintaining the football complex until the contract with the Foundation ends.
In exchange for financing and carrying out the Project, the successful Candidate receives revenue from the use of rights over the Foundation Academy’s players, for the term stated in its proposal and the amount set out in the contract terms. It also receives rights to use the Academy’s infrastructure under the special agreement to be signed with the Foundation. This is an excellent opportunity to transform the winning club’s development model.
