2024 |

FootbALL Week, the activity organized by the Albanian Football Association (FSHF) in cooperation with the British Embassy in Tirana and Dyrrah City Football Academy, concluded after a week filled with sport, education, and solidarity.

The event, held within the framework of “British Week” and ahead of the Albania–England match, brought together universities, embassies, companies, professional coaches, and dozens of children from various educational institutions.

Throughout the week, activities included a 6×6 football tournament with broad participation, training sessions for children led by licensed coaches from Manchester City Football School, as well as semifinals, the grand final of the tournament, and the awards ceremony.

In the semifinal duels, the FSHF team faced the Ministry of Defence team, while Dyrrah City competed against the DPFO.

The FSHF team advanced to the final and won 2–1 against the Ministry of Defence, after the DPFO defeated Dyrrah City 6–2.

The FSHF team won the final of the tournament, while the British Embassy Tirana team received the “Fair Play” award.

FootbALL Week had a clear social mission: supporting the children of the Institute of Students with Hearing Impairments and children from families facing economic difficulties. The funds raised from registrations and team participation fees will go toward providing safety equipment and an annual development package for talented children from these institutions, including academy registration, professional training, and transportation.

This special activity aimed to highlight and strengthen the belief that football remains a force that brings people together and creates opportunities for all.
